Queensland schedule announced for 2027 Men’s Rugby World Cup
Queensland Rugby Fans will be treated to 14 world-class matches in Brisbane and Townsville for the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
The schedule for Queensland’s thrilling Men’s Rugby World Cup matches has been announced for Brisbane and Townsville stadiums in 2027.
The world’s third-largest sporting event will come to Queensland from 1 October to 13 November 2027 set to attract 150,000 visitors from interstate and overseas.
RWC 2027 will be the biggest in the tournament’s history, with an expanded pool of 24 nations competing across 52 matches in seven host cities.
Townsville is set to host four matches while Brisbane will host 10 matches, including two thrilling quarter finals.
The matches will not only ignite the dreams of young Queensland rugby union players, but ignite Queensland’s economy with a predicted $212 million boost to our state.
The tournament will also act as a major opportunity for Queensland’s hosting abilities to be showcased to the world ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
