Browne Park

The Queensland Government has delivered a $62.78 million redevelopment of the site to provide a modern, fit-for-purpose major facility to service the region.

This redevelopment marks the next chapter in Browne Park’s long and proud history and delivers an outstanding venue for the people of Rockhampton and more broadly for Central Queensland.

The redevelopment includes:

• a contemporary three-level 3,253-seat grandstand featuring a roof
• four universally designed dressing rooms and an officials room
• public amenities
• food and beverage outlets
• media and coach facilities
• corporate areas
• function room
• commercial kitchens
• storage facilities
• broadcast facilities
• office administration space for up to three tenants including the Central Queensland Capras and the Management Group of Browne Park
• TV broadcast-level field lighting
• premier-standard rectangle field (co-funded by the State and Management Group of Browne Park)
• new scoreboard (co-funded by the State and Management Group of Browne Park)
• upgrades to the gate house entry
• upgrades to Murray Street parking area outside of the Browne Park
• new footpaths around Browne Park (to be completed by end of 2026)
• end of trip facilities.

The vision is for Browne Park to be Central Queensland’s leading venue for community, national and international level sport and entertainment events.
