Rockhampton Sports Precinct reaches major design milestone
The Rockhampton Sports Precinct has taken a big step forward, with the site layout now finalised and detailed designs underway.
Backed by our $47 million investment, Stage 1 of the project will deliver a new, purpose-built regional home for netball, along with park and play spaces for the community.
One of the largest investments so far under the Games On! infrastructure program, the Precinct will help share the benefits of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games by boosting grassroots sport in Central Queensland.
Delivered by Rockhampton Regional Council, Stage 1 of the project will include new netball courts, a clubhouse, and supporting amenities, with further stages to grow the facility into one of the most impressive regional sporting hubs in the country.
Council plans to submit a Development Application in the coming weeks, with construction expected to start in 2026.
