All Abilities Games set to bring inclusive sport to communities across Queensland

03 Nov 2026

More Queenslanders will have the chance to get active, try new sports, build confidence and connect with their communities through the 2026-27 All Abilities Games: Queensland Regional Series.

Running from October 2026 to September 2027, the series will travel to six locations across Queensland, bringing inclusive sporting opportunities to the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Toowoomba and Townsville.

The year-long initiative is expected to engage around 800 participants through a mix of come-and-try activities, skills clinics, demonstrations, exhibition matches and competitions, creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved in sport in a welcoming and supportive environment.

More than a series of sporting events, the All Abilities Games create pathways to ongoing participation. Participants will have the chance to connect with local sporting clubs, coaches and community organisations, helping them discover new opportunities to stay active long after each event wraps up.

The Games will also spotlight the power of sport to bring people together, with sporting clubs, disability organisations, schools, councils, government agencies, volunteers, businesses and families coming together to celebrate inclusion and showcase what's possible when communities work together.

By visiting communities across the state, the series will highlight existing opportunities for people with disability while encouraging the growth of new inclusive programs, partnerships and sporting experiences for future generations.

The Queensland Government is proud to support the 2026-27 All Abilities Games: Queensland Regional Series, helping create more opportunities for Queenslanders of all abilities to participate in sport, build connections and enjoy the benefits of an active lifestyle.
