Suncorp Stadium hosts Queensland Government’s first All Abilities Day

24 Jul 2026

The Queensland Government’s first-ever All Abilities Day has been held at Suncorp Stadium, alongside the Dolphins-Cowboys Queensland Derby.

NRL fans took part in a series of pre-game activities aimed at showcasing inclusive sport, with interactive experiences from Sporting Wheelies, Connect Rugby League and Queensland Academy of Sport.

Attendees also heard insights from a panel discussion with Paralympian Georgia Gunew, Chief Executive of Stadiums Queensland Todd Harris and Para athlete Tristan Orchard.

All Abilities Day aims to champion accessible, inclusive sport and encourages participation for people of all abilities as Queensland prepares to host the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Stadiums Queensland Chief Executive Todd Harris said the All Abilities Day was important to continue to improve the venue experience for everyone.

“Stadiums Queensland and Suncorp Stadium are proud to foster an inclusive culture where all staff, visitors, and athletes feel welcome, respected and connected,” Mr Harris said.

“Our continued focus on accessibility ensures the entire community can create great memories together, from introducing new changing places, website and accessible ticketing improvements, through to our customer service approach, we want our fans to have amazing experiences at all of our venues.”

Dolphins NRL CEO Terry Reader said the club was thrilled to be involved and acknowledged the importance of the day.

"We are very proud to host the first ever All Abilities Day in Queensland at our iconic home stadium,” Mr Reader said.

"It is wonderful to get to provide an opportunity like this to encourage inclusiveness in sport and help encourage participation for people of all abilities across the State."
