The Honourable Tim Mander MP is the Minister for Sport and Racing and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Mr Mander was elected in 2012 to represent the electorate of Everton, in Brisbane’s north, the area he grew up in.

Before his political career, Mr Mander officiated 300 games in his 14-year long career as a professional NRL referee. He also has held senior leadership roles in the not-for-profit sector.

Mr Mander previously served as the Minister for Housing and Public Works in the last LNP government, as well as various roles in opposition including Deputy Leader. He was appointed Minister in November 2024.

As a life-long sports lover, Mr Mander is passionate about living and promoting a healthy lifestyle. He’s committed to elevating sport in Queensland and delivering an Olympic and Paralympic Games Queenslanders can be proud of in 2032.
