Deadly Active Sport and Recreation Program
The Deadly Active Sport and Recreation Program (DASRP) was targeted at 17 identified discrete local councils to coordinate and facilitate the delivery of physical activity opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
DASRP is focused on projects that address community-identified and prioritised physical activity needs. Projects will support the delivery of quality and culturally appropriate physical activities to increase physical activity participation.
Funding is now available to support the 17 discrete Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities from 1 July 2022, with the completion date now extended to 30 June 2026.
Funding has been awarded to the local government authorities or agreed alternative community providers.
