Torres Strait Community Sport and Recreation Program
The Torres Strait Community Sport and Recreation Program provides funding to:
- enable culturally appropriate physical activities that address community-identified and prioritised needs
- support appropriate physical activity participation
- administer a small grants program to support travel to competitions.
This program has been extended, with supported activities to be completed by 30 June 2026.

The below table details grant funding from the department towards the Torres Strait Community Sport and Recreation Program for grants from 1 October 2022 to 30 June 2026.
