Active Gameday Projects

The Active Gameday Projects fund has closed.

The Active Gameday Projects fund supported the recovery of the sport and active recreation industry through investment in small-scale infrastructure projects to benefit local communities by delivering local infrastructure projects that increased community participation opportunities.

Funding was available for participation-enhancing ‘field of play’ projects under two categories:

• Installation or upgrade of sports lighting.
• Development or upgrade of playing surfaces and spaces, including irrigation.

A total of $9.726 million (GST exclusive) was allocated, including up to $1 million for eligible organisations partnering with Queensland state schools on projects located on state school land.
